Canadian Musts vs Aussie Musts
In Canada you must:
Try real maple syrup (don't worry, I'll bring some home) Take a photo of a moose, beaver, elk, etc Eat Elk!!! Use words like 'brutal', 'super', 'sketchy', 'perfect' and 'right on' Go to the Rockies Try Beef Jerky Drink a Caesar - which is tomato and clam juice with some alcohol (vodka?) in it! I have not yet tried one. Snowboard Lose a tooth and spit like crazy
Eat fish and chips by the beach and feed lone chips to lone seagulls Go to the beach See the outback Contrary to popular belief, do not say 'Chuck a shrimp on the Barbie' Have a BBQ Try Fosters and VB (although no real Aussie would drink such crap) Learn to surf

Interesting reading the comparisons. Im a kiwi lass and did the same when living in Scotland. Sooo many differences.
What does Elk taste like?
Elk - it is amazing. It is like beef (texture wise and colour) however cooked to perfection, it just absolutely melts in your mouth.
